Aegirine and Arvedsonite

Aegirine is a major “building rock” in the Ilimaussaq Complex. It is found nearly everywhere in the complex and can be dark green or almost black. Often the felted massed develop into large green veins and are often a good indicator of other mineralization.

Often these pieces will also have black arfvedosnite - another major mineral type in the complex.
