A blindingly bright yellow esperite with green willemite and minor calcite (red) from the Parker shaft in Franklin, NJ. Excellent yellow esperite coverage on both sides. A great addition to any collection.
During its short time of operation, the Parker shaft produced some of the world’s rarest mineral specimens. These rocks have become known as “Parker Shaft Minerals”.
"Red" Sodalite (Hackmanite) - Deeply Tenebrescent Greenland Mineral
Red sodalite is named for the color it takes on when exposed to sunlight; it is nicely tenebrescent under longwave UV. Under shortwave UV the color deepens, in seconds, to almost black in some areas.
