Introducing the revolutionary high powered Shortwave 255nm UVC flashlight, the first of its kind on the market. The perfect shortwave UV light for minerals. After years of research and development by a team of talented experts, this custom-designed flashlight represents the latest advancement in UV technology.

This powerful shortwave UV flashlight contains (4) powerful LEDs - most competitors flashlights only contain (1) LED. This UV flashlight provides a brilliant fluorescent response within the area of illumination. This flashlight represents the state-of-the-art in UV technology, making it a must-have for anyone interested in exploring the hidden world of fluorescence. It has been estimated that over 80% of known fluorescent minerals only fluoresce under shortwave.  Shortwave is the pro’s choice, and responsible for all the pictures you see of specimens with multiple bright colors.

With a runtime of over 1 hour and a professional-grade filter, this high-quality flashlight is sure to impress. This light is the perfect tool for UV mineral collectors, hunters, and anyone interested in exploring the fascinating world of fluorescence. Don't miss out on this game-changing product!

UV is harmful to the eyesight of all living creatures.  The use of UV-blocking eye protection is strongly recommended. UV lights should be only used by adults or under adult supervision, with proper instruction and knowledge. UV lights should be used to illuminate objects only, never anyone/anything that has eyes.

"Red" Sodalite (Hackmanite) - Deeply Tenebrescent Greenland Mineral

Red sodalite is named for the color it takes on when exposed to sunlight; it is nicely tenebrescent under longwave UV. Under shortwave UV the color deepens, in seconds, to almost black in some areas.

Worth the price

Many of the SW LED flashlights on the market are priced much less than this one. But they tend to have a very narrow beam of light and not much power. I paid $175 for one of these and it worked okay, but I found it suitable for only lighting maybe a two inch rock since the beam was so narrow, even when the lamp was pulled back a couple feet. I have been very pleased with this light. It lights up quite evenly a six inch specimen and has a lot more power, even when pulled back three feet or more. And the included extension allows you to use two batteries, extending running time. It gets pretty hot but I think that this is normal for these SW UV flashlights. I also like the warning signal (the light goes off for a second and then comes back on again) for when the battery is low.
